Since 1968, INNERGY has risen as a manufacturer of industrial boilers for thermal oil under the ERATIC brand. From that moment and unceasingly to the present, we are dedicated to the design, manufacture, commissioning and maintenance of industrial boilers of thermal oil capable of generating powers ranging from 116kW to 40MW with high yields and having the most advanced security systems.

Thermal oil as fluid for boilers is one of the most demanded models due to the advantages it presents. These include its great energy savings and the low maintenance cost required.

The ERATIC industrial boilers consist of helical carbon steel coils, which create fume passages between them. Convection and radiation coils are trained, which guarantees that the entire flow passes first through the convection zones and finally through the radiation ones, thus ensuring uniformity of temperature at the outlet of the collector.

An insulating layer of mineral wool covered with metal sheet is mounted between the internal and external walls, shaped in such a way as to guarantee the perfect hermeticity of the assembly and a temperature in the enclosure that does not exceed the ambient temperature by 20 ° is ensured.

The design of the boiler guarantees that in no case the maximum temperatures of mass and film will be higher than the maximum admissible of the thermal carrier liquid used.

In the boiler, there are ample cleaning records that are easy to access and open. The front part of the boiler is a hinged door, with full opening.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Below we will explain in detail some of the basic safety elements that, except by express request of the client, are included in our equipment:

  • Circulation Control
    • This is attached to the body of the boiler and is composed of a differential pressure switch and the valves and pressure gauges necessary to corroborate the correct circulation of the thermal oil inside the boiler.
  • Maximum Pressure Safety
    • To control the oil pressure in the boiler inlet manifolds
  • Maximum Thermal Oil Temperature Safety
    • Included in the outlet manifold, it ensures the temperature of the oil when passing through said manifold.
  • Maximum Fume Temperature Safety
    • This is the element that certifies the temperature in the output of combustion gases from the boiler.
  • Expansion Hatch
    • This is incorporated in the flue gas outlet of the boiler and allows you to avoid overpressures in case of accumulation of gases.

This is a workshop with more than 20,000 square meters specially dedicated to the manufacture of pressure equipment, auxiliary equipment and other elements for industrial combustion, equipped with the precision industrial machinery necessary to carry out large-scale projects, in which total reliability is required. It also has a team of professionals perfectly trained for the performance of their daily functions, expert welders and assemblers who work under a system of regulated PPIs which surpass the official regulation standards and controls of formative recycling.

INNERGY has been manufacturing industrial thermal oil boilers of the ERATIC brand since 1968, powered by all types of fuels; biomass being one of the most used fuels in our industrial solutions.

Heating by thermal oil is a type of indirect heating in which the temperature of a liquid phase heat transfer fluid is raised and pumped to the users of said thermal energy within a closed circuit. MOBILE GRATE WITH BIOMASS COMBUSTION SYSTEM BY INNERGY

 

The systems or combustion chambers by means of a mobile grate are among the most used today, above all due to their long endurance, versatility and guarantees offered by the design and manufacture of these systems. The combustion systems are a key element for the heat generation and application process. At INNERGY we have more than 50 years of experience designing, manufacturing and commissioning combustion systems for a wide variety of fuels, among which we find different types of biomass, complex biomass and waste.

 

The mobile grate combustion system with biomass is, broadly speaking, a technology developed to work with fuels where humidity or ash present important values, it is also recommended in processes where high availability of the plant is required.

The mobile grate is, more specifically, the main part of the combustion chamber, where the process of burning solid fuels takes place, whether it is biomass or waste. The mobile grate is constituted mainly by a set of cast iron grates with a high chromium content, which allows to guarantee a long durability of the same. These grates located on a structure, are arranged in rows and move alternately through the action of a hydraulic group. This movement allows the fuel to move and spread homogeneously along the entire surface for optimal combustion. This grate surface is known as combustion surface and its sizing is key for an adequate generation of energy. That is why each mobile grate is designed and manufactured at INNERGY according to the project.

 

WHERE DOES THE MOBILE GRATE FIT INTO THE HEAT GENERATION AND APPLICATION PROCESS?

The mobile grate is located inside the combustion furnace, just before the body of heat recovery in the form of thermal oil, water or steam, to which all the heat generated by the biomass or waste yields. This combustion furnace is made up of a sufficiently sized metal structure and covered with refractory brick with a high content of alumina for a long service life.

 

WHAT CONFIGURATION POSSIBILITIES DOES THE MOBILE GRATE HAVE?

The choice of the configuration that the mobile grate will have is made in each case according to some particular criteria, highlighting the function of the characteristics presented by the biomass or waste used, or following the project requirements and customer demands.

INDUSTRIAL BOILERS OF SATURATED STEAM WITH BIOMASS BY INNERGY

Steam boiler saturated with Biomass for industrial use. Mixed construction refractory-hydro-tubular and pyro-tubular that combines the best advantages of each technology in order to offer a wide versatility in the use of fuels. Like all INNERGY industrial boilers, they are designed and manufactured with the aim of providing maximum reliability, with low maintenance costs.

The Steam Boilers powered by Biomass are modular, they are built in two or three modules, according to size, in a monoblock solution that facilitates assembly and installation in the most propitious place for the process and daily use of our customers.

The upper module incorporates the body of Steam Boiler powered by Biomass, horizontal pyro-tubular shape, consisting of two passages of smoke and part of the hydro-tubular body. The latter fulfils the function of driving the gases to the pyro-tubular zone, increasing the performance of the installation. Both elements, designed under TRD-300 and built with P-235-GH seamless steel pipe and P-265-GH / P-295-GH quality steel sheet. Bodies designed with wide vaporization planes and steam chambers so that titles are obtained very close to the unit and fast responses to production peaks.

The intermediate module corresponds to the furnace area of biomass combustion. It is the part of the Steam Boilers that incorporates a combustion plane of mobile inclined grate, driven by hydraulic cylinders of high performance. The mobile grill uses a triple cooling combined by air, recirculated gases and water, so that the lifespan of the system is extended. The grills are cast iron DIN 17006 GX-40.Cr.Ni.27.4 specially designed to maintain their integrity in the working conditions requested by the customer. The furnace is formed, in the area of biomass combustion, by brick walls and refractory wedges of andalusite quality with 40-42% Al2O3. The INNERGY steam boiler powered by biomass has an injection of air and recirculated gases. This is carried out by various circuits designed to control combustion, increase performance and decrease unburned mass. Underneath the grills, in two or three sections according to size, a mixture of preheated atmospheric air and recirculated gases is injected in such a way that cooling of the casting elements is achieved and, in turn, the quality of the combustion in the upper zones can be controlled. Thus, in combination with the regulation of the movement of the grills, the combustion process is adapted to the quality and humidity of the available biomass.

In the furnace zone, preheated atmospheric air is introduced in several phases, so as to favour the phenomenon of combustion control. Minimizing the production of carbon monoxide and unburned mass. The Steam Boiler model manufactured by INNERGY, and powered by biomass. It has the system of automatic lighters conveniently sized for a wide variety of fuels.

In the lower module, the automatic ash and slag extraction system is incorporated. This is done by means of a wet system that seals the assembly and decreases the exit temperature of the same, for its subsequent management.

ROTARY KILN

INNERGY has several types of models of combustion chambers in the market, each of these technologies being designed and adapted to the particular needs of each project.

Depending on the type of fuel, biomass or waste, the application of a different type of combustion system is recommended, which are currently: fixed grate, mobile grate, fluid bed and rotary kiln.

 

WHAT IS A ROTARY KILN AND IN WHAT SITUATIONS IS IT RECOMMENDED?

The rotary kiln is a system that is especially recommended for those processes that use complex fuels, thus being considered the fuels with a high content of aggressive elements such as chlorine and sulphur, among others.

The rotary kiln is the main part of the equipment where the combustion process of solid fuels, whether complex biomass or waste, takes place. This phase consists mainly of a metallic cylindrical body covered with high alumina refractory materials for maximum durability. This body is seated on a track which allows it to regulate its rotation for an optimal speed and time of permanence of the fuel in its interior. The proper sizing of its length and its rotation speed are essential for an effective combustion.

 

WHERE IS THE ROTARY KILN LOCATED WITHIN THE HEAT GENERATION AND APPLICATION PROCESS?

The rotary kiln is located just before the heat recovery body in the form of thermal oil, water or steam, to which all the heat generated by the biomass or waste yields. Generally, it is usually associated with post-combustion chambers to give the process gases more residence time.

 

WHAT POSSIBLE CONFIGURATIONS DOES THE ROTARY OVEN HAVE?

When deciding what configuration the rotary kiln combustion system will have, it is essential to take into account some essential characteristics of the process such as: the characteristics of the biomass or waste, as well as the requirements of the process or the client.

Among the possible configurations would be:

FIXED GRATED

The fixed grate combustion system is a very simple and effective system, and it is widespread in certain applications due to its reliability and robustness. At INNERGY we have more than 50 years of experience designing, manufacturing and commissioning combustion systems for a wide variety of fuels, among which we find different types of conventional biomass, complex biomass and waste.

WHAT MAKES UP THE FIXED GRATE COMBUSTION SYSTEM?

A fixed grate combustion system is recommended for those projects where solid fuels are used, such as simple biomasses with low ash content and medium humidity. This is the main part of the equipment where the combustion process of the biomass or waste used takes place. The fixed grate is constituted mainly by a set of cast iron grates on which the biomass for combustion is located. This is known as the combustion surface and its proper dimensioning as a function of the defined power is fundamental.

Together with the biomass industrial boiler, the combustion chamber with fixed grate is entirely designed and manufactured at the INNERGY factory.

 

WHERE DOES THE FIXED GRATE FIT INTO THE HEAT GENERATION AND APPLICATION PROCESS?

The fixed grate is located inside the combustion furnace, just before the body of heat recovery in the form of thermal oil, water or steam, to which all the heat generated by the biomass or waste yields. This combustion furnace is made up of a metallic structure, which must be correctly dimensioned and covered with refractory brick with a high content of alumina, to guarantee a long service life for both the fixed grate and the combustion chamber.

WCREW BURNER

INNERGY has screw conveyors to supply the fuel in the combustion chamber. Given their closeness to it, they are manufactured with materials capable of withstanding high temperatures.

OPERATION

A screw conveyor introduces the fuel in the furnace, forming a conical stack which rests on the bottom of the furnace and produces combustion in the outside part, since perfect combustion takes place when the gases are distilled and oxygenated with the preheated primary, secondary and tertiary air.
